KHANA aims to improve equitable access to income, employment, and services for all Cambodians, and to strengthen community resilience against future threats, such as climate change and natural disasters.
Employment opportunities
KHANA activities directly and indirectly provide opportunities for community members to make a living. Our seed-and-recruit method for diagnosing TB provides incentives for recruiters, and our research studies often require relevant community members to conduct interviews. Many of our other programs also require a range of field staff, outreach workers, and coordinators to facilitate their implementation.
Quality and affordable health services
KHANA is committed to providing quality healthcare services at little-to-no cost through HIV screening programs, condom distribution, and digital healthcare solutions such as mHealth.
- OneImpactK+ is our digital solution to provide community monitoring and support to people living with tuberculosis. It provides a safe space for people to report side effects, share concerns, and connect with KHANA-trained leaders and support groups.
Our Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) project, funded by the Stop TB Partnership, aims to strengthen the role of community action in the fight against TB. The project consists a ‘TB network’ consisting of 28 health centers, 28 peer support group leaders, and 10 charity boxes placed at pagodas and tourist attractions. Donations help people living with TB access support services.
