KHANA produces a range of publications including research reports, programme evaluations, progress reports, programme tools, and information, education and communication (IEC) materials. These are used by our implementing partners, donors, and stakeholders, but are also freely available for download by civil society organisations globally.

Our publications provide
strategic information which can be used to strengthen the evidence base for the HIV response and other health work in Cambodia. We use our publications to improve our own programme implementation, and to inform policy and strategy development for the national response. Lessons learned and good practices are shared with our partners and other stakeholders, and contribute to the knowledge base for HIV programming in Cambodia.

The Harm Reduction program for PWID is provided by KHANA and its Implementing Partners. The main objective of the study is to provide recommendations to improve and update KHANA’s Gender Strategy 2010, by accessing and analyzing the gaps and opportunities for gender integration within KHANA’s harm reduction response in Cambodia. The study helps to build the capacity of KHANA’s Policy Team, Harm Reduction program staff, and other relevant staff of KHANA and its implementing partners to advocate for greater gender integration into harm reduction programs in the country.

The study used quantitative and qualitative methodology to assess the change of main outcome indicators. The overall finding showed that PLHIV currently on ART increased steadily from 90% at basedline to 92% at midterm and 96% at endline. In addition, the proportion of PLHIV reported their overall quality of life as ‘good or very good’ increased sharply from only 35% in baseline to 72% at endline. OVC were significantly more likely to report attend school regularly comparing to OVC at midterm. More than 60% of EW has been tested for HIV within the last 6 months. More than 80% of EW reported consistence condom use with client. 77% of MSM has been tested in the last six months. 24.5% of PWID shared a needle and syringe within the last three months.

This study evaluated the impact of the Sustainable Action against HIV and AIDS in Communities (SAHACOM) project in improving education opportunity, health, and quality of life of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Cambodia. The Study is in five provinces in Cambodia, from 2010 to 2014. A two-stage cluster sampling method was used to select 756 OVC at midterm and 785 OVC at end line for face-to-face interviews.
