KHANA is a national non-government organization (NGO) that plays a leadership and support role to local implementing partners, connecting them to sources of support and giving them and communities affected by HIV a voice to strengthen the community response to HIV.
The 2007 Annual Report highlighted KHANA’s response and achievements during the year including our 10th Anniversary, and organization restructuring.
2007 marked the 10th Anniversary of KHANA’s partnership with the Alliance. 2007 also saw the development of our Operational Plan and Standard Package of Activities, synthesizing KHANA learning and good practice. We made important developments in our efforts to integrate livelihoods into our work, and also focused on good governance. We continued work with the media to promote accurate and sensitive reporting of HIV and AIDS and decrease stigma.
