Games to use in workshops, meetings and the community

Facilitators use games to help people get to know each other (‘icebreakers’), increase their energy or enthusiasm levels (‘energisers’), encourage team building, or make people think about a specific issue.

This publication is one in a series of resources from the Alliance to encourage participation in practice. It is a compilation of exercises that can be used by anyone working with groups of people, whether in a workshop, meeting or community setting. It sets out to build practical skills, provide a training resource and continue learning. It is packed with effective, fun ideas such as the yes/no game, ‘leading and guiding’ and ‘what am I feeling?’.
